Youth Leadership and Professional Development Training Program
November 2010-June 2011
Methodology : There will be six workshops each training workshop is proposed of a week’s duration (04 working days x 6 hours a day) ensuring 24 hours of actual training input provided to participating youth in a week. Each workshop will consist of 30 students from different universities which will take place every month for duration of six months. In all 180 students will be trained through six workshops.
Also after every workshop there will be two FM Radio shows which will cover the training disciplines by having workshop trainers and participants address their learning outputs to the masses disseminating information.
Trainers: The workshops and FM shows will consist of trainers and experts from Young Social Reformers and some ECA alumni who have participated in USG IVLP, SUSI, YES and Fulbright programs having expertise in the course disciplines. Representatives from United States Educational Foundation of Pakistan will also be invited to provide guidance for study abroad opportunities to the youth. In all 35 experts, trainers and guest speakers will be engaged in conducting the trainings.
FM Show Presenters: There will be 12 FM Shows which will be aired during the proposed time frame. Each FM Show will comprise of two presenters and two workshop participants addressing each training component, their learning outcomes and will also be sharing valued suggestions for the listeners to be more sensitized towards the topics being discussed.
Course Content: The training course will cover the disciplines such as Skills Development, Civic Engagement, Career Counseling, Youth Volunteering and Community Service. The course modules will be updated at the website shortly.
